The Knife Angel is a sculpture by Alfie Bradley. It is 27ft tall and made from over 100,000 seized blades, was specifically created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour whilst solidifying our critical need for social change.

Music for the Knife Angel consists of music specially composed for Sound Sculptures, that originally featured Vox Pops and poetry from the people of the towns of Bolton and Bury. These towns having been visited by the Knife Angle for a month at a time. (Bolton in November 2023 and Bury in March 2024)

Live from Worktown CIC, an arts and heritage group that Peter is a member of, were commissioned by Bolton and Bury Councils to create this Sound Sculpture to capture the thoughts of people in the town. This album gives us the chance to listen to the specially composed music in isolation, including 2 bonus tracks of arrangements that were not used in the final pieces.

Peter D. Firth has been coming up with tunes for the piano, since he could bash away on the family upright from a young age. Further realising the rock ‘n’ roll potential after seeing an old film of Jerry Lee Lewis on TV and later at the cinema watching Richard Wright playing the piano with his elbow in Pink Floyd’s ‘Live from Pompeii’.
